Even a week after this magical event, the Dior Cruise 2020 still remains big news in Marrakech. The majestic el Badi palace, located in the heart of Marrakech, provided a splendid setting for the collection of María Grazia Chiuri.

An authentic blend of different cultures with great Moroccan essence. This is how we can describe the collection where wax fabric was the star. All garments were made up with this fabric, which is a coloured fabric, stained with wax to fix the dye on both sides, and it can be seen as a symbolic and clear reflection of Moroccan tannery.
The long and voluminous clothing was one of the main protagonists, as well as the skirts, dresses and two pieces suits, full of color and pattern.
The reason for the presentation of this collection in Marrakech was none other than to show within its designs a meeting place for different cultures and traditions, also the relationship between Africa, Europe and the Mediterranean.
Silk, silk gauze and silk shantung gave form to pleated skirts, coats, suits and pants. Crude, sandy, ocher, toasted red and blue colors reflect the landscapes of Morocco and its desert.
In Morocco fashion has always had an important role and perhaps that is the reason why the author chose this setting, as it can be seen as a reflection of the place and time and a new vision of coexistence between different ideologies.
Numerous celebrities attended the fashion show. They described it as a magical experience, as a cinema setting where the artist had been integrated perfectly and where the environment takes the same role as the collection itself.
